It’s close to one of Stäfa’s train stations, with only a little uphill and downhill walking, and not far from a public beach, though that route has more of a height difference. I had a view of the lake, and it’s easy to take the train or boat to other towns around the lake or farther into the mountains. This feels somewhere between a hotel and a hostel. There are no dorms or big groups of noisy young people, and the rooms are as nice as hotel rooms. You do share the facilities: in the hallway there’s a toilet, a shower, and a bathroom with both a toilet and shower. A small kitchen has a fridge for food and space to cook. It’s all on the top two floors of the proprietor’s house.

Pilgerhüsli is easy to find near the main road, and there’s parking available. The host is lovely, the room cozy, and the kitchen really nice. Free coffee and tea are offered too. I can only recommend it!

We lacked nothing during our stay. The hosts were so kind and helpful, and our room, the house, the garden and the location were all fantastic. Thank you so much. We’d definitely book again and highly recommend it.

The hostess was very friendly, and parking is right at the house. It’s a great, very clean place with shared bathrooms and kitchen. A perfect base for a holiday in Stäfa on Lake Zurich.
