The room was fine, but the evening was a rough experience. When we arrived late from travelling, nobody was at reception until a lovely woman, Eva Arman, came to help us. After a really nice walk down from the lake, we came back a little hungry to a restaurant that was extremely busy, with staff working so hard. The owner greeted us pleasantly, but I found him completely fake. He doesn't listen to his staff and seems focused on money. We waited a long time for food because things were so overwhelmed that I nearly left. Once we finally ate, I thanked everyone, especially Eva and the kitchen team. Eva was amazing and a real credit to the restaurant, as were the other staff. I hope they were paid extra for that crazy evening on 25/07/25. The owner should think more about his staff. You're only as good as your staff. Also, don't throw serviettes at customers. I didn't appreciate it. If you're spending a lot, he'll work you. Thank you, Eva, you made my stay. The staff get five stars from me, definitely not the owner.

The Italian food was fantastic.

The service was friendly, and the price felt like great value. The food was excellent too: bruschetta with crisp bread and lovely flavor, plus pizza with a light, airy crust, crunchy edge, and toppings that were well balanced. Highly recommend.

The service was efficient and really friendly, but lunch didn't go well for us. The salad had sand in it, the vinegar bottle wouldn't pour, the king prawns were rubbery, and the pasta tasted bland. P. Anderegg, Egnach

The food was good on our second visit to Il Fiore, on January 19th, but the birthday part left us disappointed. We had booked online and mentioned it was for a birthday, which fell on January 19th for my father-in-law. I wasn't expecting anything much, but they could at least have asked whose birthday it was or put a candle on the dessert. Nothing happened, and that was really disappointing. Also, the young male waiter asked us about drinks in English, even though I was there with my in-laws and they don't speak any English. Thankfully, a woman came over to take our order.
