The risotto deserves five stars, and I’d recommend the scampi starter. Excellent restaurant, nice terrace, and easy to reach by car, about a 10-minute drive from Ascona. A reservation is strongly recommended.

The rooms were clean, with a nice view of the river, and the staff were very friendly. We had a wonderful stay at hotel Tre Terre. Breakfast had croissants, fruit, eggs, cereal and yoghurt, and dinner was great too, with beautifully presented desserts. The one drawback was that the tap water stayed warm even when turned as far as possible to the right, so it wasn’t pleasant to drink. Apart from that, everything went well and I’d happily come back.

We stayed as a family in two rooms and rested really well. The hotel is lovely, very clean and nicely decorated, and breakfast was good. Don’t miss the restaurant: its location might make it easy to overlook, but the food was perfect and the local wines were excellent. They’re adding a few rooms with river views now. We’d definitely stay again if we’re in the area. A perfect stay!

We loved the range of dishes, the wonderful wine and the atmosphere. The food was simply cooked to perfection, and the service was excellent. The staff were attentive and caring, and took great care of the little ones too. Without a doubt, this is our favorite spot in Ticino!

Over a 12-day holiday across Switzerland, my wife and I agreed that our best meal was at T3E Terre. The dishes were delicious and beautifully prepared, and everyone serving us was gracious and friendly. One of the owners also stopped by several times for a chat. We chose the restaurant because of its Michelin Bib Gourmand rating, but I think it deserves a star. It was the culinary highlight of our trip. We live in New York City.
