We enjoyed Thun Water Magic from the restaurant balcony, which has a unique view of the show. The three-course menu was excellent, and even with a large number of guests, the service was very attentive and courteous. I'd definitely recommend treating yourself to this experience.

The restaurant was clean throughout, and the atmosphere felt relaxed but still elegant, so it would suit a casual meal or a more formal gathering. The staff were friendly, warm, and very attentive. It was clear they cared about guests' well-being. The Freienhof restaurant in Thun pleasantly surprised me, and I'd gladly recommend it and come back.

The food was delicious, though I would have liked a little more seasoning in the tartare. It was also a shame that the fries with the entrecôte were drenched in herb butter. The waitress was very friendly, but the service overall fell short of what you'd expect in such a chic place. That may have been due to illness or staff shortages. The ambiance is top-notch, and it's still worth a visit.

The portions were ridiculously small for the prices, and the value was completely out of line. Staff had limited German, which made communication difficult. One employee's bad breath was truly nauseating and felt like a serious hygiene problem. It took a lot of back-and-forth to get individual requests accommodated. With the kitchen open, guests could clearly hear the disrespectful kitchen staff loudly gossiping about the order. A disappointment in every respect.
