The whole evening felt welcoming, right down to the thoughtful decor and the care put into the venue. My colleagues and I booked it for our company Christmas dinner, and we were all very happy with the choice. The food was tasty and high quality, with generous portions, and the two waiters looking after us were kind, quick, and happy to help with anything we needed. The staff had also been prompt and professional when I emailed with questions before booking. There’s a wonderful 360-degree view of Zurich, and the location itself is amazing. Just be careful on the steep way up in winter, especially when it’s snowing, as it can be slippery. I’d absolutely recommend this place.

Getting there takes a little planning. Don’t use a taxi or Uber, since cars can’t continue past a point on the mountain road and you’d have about a 45-minute walk. Take the bus instead. Once you arrive, the rooms are clean and spacious, the views are incredible, and breakfast has a delicious range of options. Be sure to reserve your complimentary spa time during the stay. This hotel was amazing.

The journey up to Uto Kulm is an adventure in itself, challenging in a good way and part of what makes the place special. At the top, there’s fresh air, quiet, and views that are breathtaking in every sense. I had a comfortable room too. It’s the sort of place that stays with you, and one I think everyone should experience at least once. You end up feeling the trip was completely worth it.

Watching the sun come up and go down from the room was wonderfully romantic, and I’d definitely return. I stayed with my employer for our summer party and had a great time. The room was outstanding, with an incredible view. Thanks for the upgrade and the delicious breakfast. The scrambled eggs tasted real and were delicious. I really enjoyed the stay.

Luciano was especially warm and helpful, explaining exactly how to get to the hotel and even driving to the train station to help bring our luggage up. His service was professional, and his friendly smile made us feel at home. We were all very satisfied and will come back to Hotel UTO KULM Car-Free Hideaway in Zurich when we get the chance. Hotel & Restaurant UTO KULM is the only hotel in Zurich where you can take in a full panoramic view of the whole city. We’re staying here today, and we’re glad we did.
