Residence Jungfrau

We decided not to spend the night here. When we arrived, there was a sign advertising “free apartment rooms,” and an employee stood at the entrance watching us without opening the door. Another couple with us had the same problem. Inside, my sheet had cookie crumbs and hair on it and didn't even fit the bed. The bathrooms were out in the hallway, too. The place looked nothing like the clean, pretty photos we'd seen while booking. The review pictures claiming it was beautiful and clean are copyrighted. We were on a family road trip through Europe and chose this hotel in Switzerland after the reviews looked normal. Don't trust those romantic, clean-looking photos. This feels like a scam. Do not go here.

The bathrooms were outside the rooms, and the kitchen was shared by everyone, which hadn't been made clear. The management was rude and unprofessional during our stay. The property was very poor quality and not clean, and the rooms looked quite unhygienic and nothing like the misleading pictures online. A very unpleasant experience at Residence Jungfrau. I wouldn't recommend staying here, even for free.

We felt unsafe staying there, especially with our child, so at 12:30 AM we rented another hotel instead. We'd paid over $400 to stay at a place that seemed meant for homeless individuals, based on the attached sign saying “free apartments,” rather than advertised to tourists. The website photos are fake, and the owners seem like big scammers. Our beds and sheets had crumbs, food, holes, and large stains, as shown in the pictures. I plan to complain to my credit card company, ask for a refund, and have the owners investigated. This was the worst experience we've ever had, and the place ruined our stay.

The shared kitchen was handy for making our own meals, and the room was comfortable and felt homey. Residence Jungfrau is also well placed, just a short walk from the train station and close to Coop. I really enjoyed staying here in Interlaken.
