Villa Taegermoos

The green setting is lovely, the rooms are good, and the staff are generally friendly. But check-in was a mess. The service number didn’t work, and nobody told us that we could collect the keys from the nearby hotel, even though we booked through booking. We had internet and managed to work it out, but I can imagine other guests getting stuck without a place to stay. Please sort this out so we aren’t left stranded next time we stay.

Beautiful.

The apartments are modern and very comfortable, with quality furnishings and soundproof windows. The mattresses were very comfortable too, and the heating worked efficiently. We also liked the pleasant amenities, small kitchenette, and large refrigerator. It was a truly relaxing stay.

The service needs work. Our apartment hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived, the previous guests’ welcome card was still on the shelf, and there was only one almost empty roll of toilet paper. We sent the note the property had asked us to leave, but got no reply for several days and had to manage on our own. The TV was unusable without its remote, and when we raised our complaint at reception, responsibility was first pushed back on us and then passed to colleagues. Complaint handling was inadequate. The apartment itself was spacious, bright, and pleasantly furnished, with thoughtful details. Its quiet location is especially suitable for cyclists, and the small kitchen, though a little dated, was functional. It’s a lovely place in a great setting, but the service has significant room for improvement. A shame, given the location.
