Hotel + Restaurant Ochsen

The staff were so polite and looked after me well while I was having breakfast, which was really good. I was surprised to find my room key waiting in the mailbox with my name on it. The room was good, with food and water provided, and the hotel is close to our training school. The accommodation was really good.

After two weeks in a third-floor room, I ended up really enjoying my stay. Coming from America, I was initially surprised by how small the room was and how modest the accommodations felt. It's easy to walk to nearby trails, just head north, and there's an Aldi close by for groceries. My favorite dinner spot was the kabobery down the street. I also ate a few times with colleagues at the Ochsen, where the food was always fantastic. Service was consistently good, and Luca's "medicine" was a fun treat. He looked after you like family. The Sunday omelet, sausage, and cheese breakfast was a real treat after a week of light Swiss breakfasts. I'd happily stay again.

We loved the meal. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially the exquisite soup and steaks. Five stars for the cuisine, and thank you!

I only ate at the restaurant. Dinner was really good, though dessert was a little less impressive. The staff and service were friendly. A good spot for dinner when you're in Uzwil.
