It's a shame to see such a huge complex sitting empty. The nearby holiday apartments are being sold along with a restaurant and reduced admission to the thermal baths, but both establishments have been closed for a long time. Val-d’Iliez thermal baths are closed due to bankruptcy. From the outside, the place looks very nice, and the big advertising signs are still up on the main road above, with just a small "closed" sign.

The town is still promoting the spa even though the thermal baths remain permanently closed.
