Central Hotel Verbier

Evenings can be noisy because of the bars next door. The rooms are tiny, and they weren’t in as good condition as the hotel’s own photos suggested. Breakfast downstairs in the bar was OK, though the dishes were very dirty one day. The location is a plus, right in the middle of town and a 10-minute walk from the slopes, with a bus available too.

I liked the small balcony overlooking the center and the mountains, and the charming view from our room. When we arrived, there was no snow and it was +4°, so I thought we wouldn’t be able to snowboard. Then it started snowing that evening and kept falling, including on the day we arrived. There’s no parking, but there is a ski room to dry your gear. The room has water, a fridge, kettle, capsule coffee machine, and TV. There’s Wi-Fi too, though I didn’t try it, so I can’t say how good it is. Breakfast is served downstairs in the bar. During Covid19, there were plastic screens between tables and we ordered from a paper menu. Maybe I’m picky, but if you don’t eat carbs, breakfast could be difficult. The coffee was definitely good.

There was some noise from parties and people in the street, but you are staying right in the center of Verbier. The balcony gets great sun, and the hotel is nice, clean, and has great towels. Breakfast was good.
