BnB Varen

Heidi and Thomas had great suggestions for the rest of our Swiss road trip, and we'd definitely recommend staying at BNB Varen. They welcomed us in the evening with delicious local Swiss wine. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with amazing views of the mountains and valleys. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, with local baked breads and homemade jams.

Vineyards all around, peaceful surroundings, and the sounds of nature made Varen a lovely place to escape the daily routine. The atmosphere is breathtaking. The nearby church bells sound beautiful, and weren't loud enough to wake us during the night. BnBVaren is a charming, spotless house, and Heidi was a very kind and helpful host. I booked a double room with a balcony and a well-equipped kitchen. The bathroom is shared with other guests, and Heidi has hygiene rules for the shared areas.

A quiet little town and a great place for an overnight stay. The people were lovely, and we got some incredible pictures. The studio worked perfectly for the four of us, all large people. Heidi had a wonderful breakfast waiting in the morning. Much Aloha!

We stayed two nights at Heidi's BnB and found the place spotless and cozy. Breakfast, made with local products, was nice and shared with the other guests. Heidi was super helpful, speaking three languages and offering lots of tips for spending time around the region. We chose a large room with four beds directly under the roof, with a great view over the Rhône valley. Just be careful on the slippery stairs. The tiny village sits among vineyards and wine cellars, close to the Pfyn-Finges nature reserve and not far from the mountains, especially Leukerbad or Zinal. Sion is only 20 minutes away for shopping. There's free parking if you ask in advance, and a tourism card too.
