Nonanteneuf Appart-hotel Etang

We’ll definitely be back. The double bed was incredibly comfortable, everything worked perfectly, and the apartment was well insulated during our winter visit. It’s a beautiful place with the basic but necessary amenities. There are various shops close by, a bus stop right in front of the building, and a tram stop just a few metres away.

Getting around was easy: the hotel is close to both the airport and city center. We walked from the airport in about 20 minutes. The tram is only a few minutes away, runs every 5-10 minutes, and gets you to the city center in 5-10 minutes or to the Cern side. The hotel gave us free transport cards for our stay. There’s a Coop under the building, with Lidl and other grocery stores just a few metres away. Prices are a bit salty, as you’d expect in the rest of Switzerland. The area feels modern and very safe, probably recently developed. Maps might not show the hotel, but in the area there’s a big building with its name on it and signs along the ground, so it’s hard to miss. Inside, the one-bedroom flat was really big, very clean, and comfortable, with an almost-new feel and everything we needed apart from a microwave. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the sofa and bed were both very comfortable. You get a six-digit digital key code a few hours before arrival. Write it down if needed, and use it to open the doors during your stay. Some people may find that confusing. Communication with a staff member over WhatsApp was easy, and they sorted any problem straight away. It was our last day today, and we really enjoyed Genova and the hotel. The apartment was a great deal by Geneva standards. It was spacious, well equipped, and completely quiet despite being near the airport. The shower was excellent, with very hot water and strong pressure. I’d seen someone mention a problem with it, but I had no trouble at all. Getting around was easy. The apartment is right across from the airport bus stop, and the tram is a five-minute walk away, then about 15 minutes into town. That makes it easy to reach everything while staying outside the busy center. There’s a supermarket downstairs, open until Saturday. On Sundays, Migros at the airport is open until 21:00. Balexert shopping mall is about a 10-minute walk or one tram stop away. Service was great. When a chair broke, they replaced it in five minutes, and whenever I messaged through the app, even on weekends, I got an immediate reply. The apartment was cleaned twice during my stay, and both times they did a very good job. Laundry was easy to use, though you have to download an app and buy credits. It’s straightforward if you’re comfortable with digital systems. If you can, ask for a corner apartment with the number 10 layout. It has windows on several sides and lovely mountain views. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it.

We’re in Geneva often because our daughter studies there, and this hotel is always a very pleasant place to stay. The apartments are spacious, modern, comfortable, and very well equipped, and the digital access gives a high level of security. The building is newly built. It’s near the airport and about 10 minutes from central Geneva, in a neighborhood with shopping centers and restaurants. This will always be our choice of accommodation.
