Baxter Hotel

The rooms were clean and looked well cared for. Staying right across from Visp station made getting around really easy, and I had a very pleasant time here. I’d gladly come back.

Breakfast was better than we expected, with lots of fresh, tasty choices for different tastes. The hotel is newly built and kept in immaculate shape, and it has everything we needed for a comfortable night. Being right beside the train station also worked perfectly for our travel plans.

Those breakfast views from the 6th floor are hard to beat. The station is very handy if you’re working at Lonza or anywhere in town, and the whole stay was wonderful. My pillow felt like it wasn’t there, so a firmer choice might help. The shower is tiny and turned VERY hot almost instantly, so bear that in mind.

The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, and the location was a big help for our overnight stop before Zermatt. Sebastian was cheerful and helpful despite it being a long day during the holiday season. We arranged things by phone and he checked us in quickly, so we could rest before travelling on. We’d expected to have to check ourselves in late at night, and were very grateful for his help.
