We visited during carnival season, when local bands gather at the hotel for food and drinks. That gave the place a special feeling, right at the heart of this little town. It’s also only a short drive from Andermatt, so it worked perfectly as a base for our ski holiday. The staff were incredibly friendly, the hotel was spotless and beautifully maintained, and the tasteful paintings and artworks throughout made it feel refined yet cozy. We absolutely loved our stay. Highly recommended!

Getting here without a car is a bit difficult, but the welcoming, friendly host and great breakfast made the stay well worth it. It was an excellent experience and really made my day.

The restaurant food was nice, and the rooms were clean with beautiful decorations. The staff were super nice too.

Everything else was good, but the burger was completely overcooked and didn’t seem to be real meat. The girl who served us was very nice. Another service staff member at the Restaurant, a Russian girl, was rude and unfriendly. When she asked for feedback after the meal and we answered honestly, she made rude comments and rolled her eyes. She was the one who cleared our table.

Mr. Gerig was extremely caring and helpful. The hotel is excellent, with comfortable beds and a nice restaurant, and it’s a good option for visiting the area, about 20 minutes from Andermatt. We stayed after taking the Glacier Express from Zermatt to Andermatt, and highly recommend it.
