Plaza Hotel

I liked my stay at the Plaza Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed, so it was a nice place to unwind. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, and kept things running smoothly. The location is ideal for being near both the station and the city, making it a good choice for a visit to Winterthur.

The owner at reception made the stay especially memorable. He was kind and knew how to treat guests. After checkout we had a long trip to Germany, and he gave us several espresso drinks for the road. He was a pleasure to talk to, and I’d highly recommend staying here if you get the chance, just for the owner. The Plaza Hotel is close to the train station and town center, handy for trips to Zurich and elsewhere in Switzerland. The rooms were large and cozy, with very comfortable beds and great espresso machines. There was no air conditioning or fan, so the room got a little warm. Opening the windows helped since the room was spacious, but it also got a bit loud because of the central location.

The staff were nice and friendly. The hotel is in a great spot in Winterthur, with a big room and all the comforts, including a TV, Kaffeemachine, Laundry, and daily cleaning. Super Price.

The only upside is the central location. Since the owners changed, it doesn’t feel like a hotel anymore. The reviewer describes it as a bordel, with trans people and prostitution, and says the sheets aren’t changed and everything is dirty, with fingerprints and nasty stuff everywhere. They allege that the owner may steal your things, and say you could wake up with the owner beside you in bed asking for your money. IT'S A SHIT SHOW.
