The staff made the stay especially lovely. They were so friendly and helpful, and seemed proud of the hotel. When we asked to move away from the noisy children at dinner, they found us a quiet corner. The four-course set menu included with our stay was delicious and plentiful, and staff even came around offering more of the main course and sides. Breakfast had lots to choose from and popular items were refilled often. Our room was 101, with a private bathroom. It was comfortable, clean, and very quiet. We also had stunning views and a peaceful setting. Getting there was easy using public transport to Engelberg, followed by two cable rides or lifts. Very happy with the stay and the lovely surroundings. We’ll definitely return. The photo is the view from our room.

The ski slopes are right outside, and the food menu is great. We loved dinner and will come back. The staff were super nice and helpful. My only small gripe is that there aren’t enough places to hang shower towels.

We stayed in a lovely wooden room for four, much bigger than we expected, with amazing views. Everything was very clean, and the bathroom had everything you could need. We had just finished the four lake hike starting in melchsee-frutt, and this was a perfect place for dinner and a rest before the next day. If you have less energy, it’s also easy to reach from Engelberg by taking two gondolas. Dinner was delicious, and being vegan in the mountains can be tricky, but we had a great experience here. The staff were attentive to what we needed. I’d happily come back and definitely recommend a visit.

We like stopping here for family lunch when we ski in Engelberg. It’s a cozy, friendly mountain restaurant with tasty food and an efficient setup, with both self-service and table service.
