I was profoundly disappointed. Our hotel was a little dirty and right beside the railway tracks, so we kept getting woken in the middle of the night. After checkout time, the receptionist literally threw us out shortly afterward. I’ve never experienced that kind of aggression in a hotel. Avoid it at all costs.

A restaurant and gasthaus with comfortable, clean rooms and a very nice breakfast. It’s about a 15-minute drive from Engelberg.

The view was pretty, though the staff didn’t seem very involved.

A wonderful place to be.

The shower was good and the bathroom was fine, but the mattress has a bit of a dip. There’s no refrigerator in the room, and although the switches are clearly visible, the main room light is disconnected. The food left a lot to be desired too. Chicken with strawberries is a strange combination.
