A comfortable upscale spot in a quiet location. The building has an old-fashioned style, though the rooms have been freshly painted and updated, and the beds are comfortable. The restaurant is very good, with a terrace outside and friendly service. It's pricey, but fair for what you get, with good vegetarian choices.

We stayed at the neighboring hotel, but its staff wouldn't take us for dinner, even though we were hotel guests and there were a few free tables. So I called La Prairie. Everyone there stayed on to serve us dinner after 21:00, even though it was Monday, February 20. Our waiter, Christopher, was professional, kind and helpful. The food was brilliant: we had seabass fillet with homemade mayo, orange reduction and mashed potatoes. The Solaris wine was amazing too, thanks to Christopher's recommendation. The kitchen and service teams were both wonderful. I'd happily come back.

I had a pleasant one-night stay at this very nice hotel, and the employees were friendly. At breakfast, though, I couldn't find a plate and there was nobody around to ask. It would help to have someone there to point out where things are.

After @La Table de Mary, this is a must for any gourmand visiting Yverdon. I've been here a dozen times, and my personal favorites are the pouched egg with truffles and the burger. P.S. The restaurant and hotel are quite different, so they shouldn't be combined in a single review.

The rooms are fine but feel old-fashioned. I recommend the Sunday morning brunch, with its really great range of choices. A great hotel in Yverdon-les-Bains.
