The balcony is the standout feature. Looking across the Rhône valley toward Visp, you get an open view of Wiwwannihorn and Gärsthorn rising side by side. Their distinct peaks take over the horizon, especially in the crisp morning light. It’s a quiet spot with fresh mountain air and peaceful nights, without any fuss or extras. This is a straightforward pension that covers what you need: simple, clean, and comfortable.

The rooms are basic, but there’s enough space, and the breakfast is pretty good. The owner was really nice and shared helpful tips about Zermatt. Great views, too. I’d recommend it.

The view across the valley and out to the villages on the other side was beyond amazing, with stunning, mind-blowing sights of the Alps. We reached this archetypal Swiss village by bus, climbing 9 kilometers of hair-raising switchbacks to 4000 feet. It really is a village, not a town, with a small grocery, lots of "wanderwegs," and a feeling of stepping into another world. It’s not touristy at all. The locals were very friendly to us, even though we were obvious visitors.
