La Bohème Appartementhaus

We spent a week snowboarding in the Don Juan apartment, our second visit to Zermatt, and La Bohème exceeded our expectations. The owner was well organized and very welcoming, from the complimentary taxi transfers to the station to the surprises left outside our door. Whenever we needed coffee capsules, olive oil, or something else, the owner responded quickly. The apartment was modern and cozy, and the details made the stay enjoyable. I loved the Marshall Bluetooth speaker, the quality kitchen appliances, including a dishwasher and Miele induction stove, especially since we cooked every meal at home. The bookcase was full of English books, and I read several during the bad weather. The decadent furry slippers were a fun bonus. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows gave us a great Matterhorn view, and there’s a terrace outside. The Gornergrat Bahn passes right in front of it, but we didn’t find that disturbing. The ski room was warm and had lockers for each room, handy for valuables. Although La Bohème may look a bit far out on the map, it’s a short walk to the lift stations and village center, and we walked there every day. My one wish was for a bigger TV, since we watched movies in the evenings. It isn’t a smart TV, but luckily I brought my Amazon Fire stick so we could watch Netflix. We had a wonderful holiday and I’d love to return, perhaps to one of the bigger apartments upstairs.

The views of the Matterhorn and forests, the host, the sauna, and the chimney all made this an unforgettable stay in Zermatt. Hans treated us like family and spoke AMAZING Spanish. What a wonderful, wonderful, WONDERFUL place. See u in Costa Rica, dear Hans!

The deluxe apartment had a Matterhorn view and all the facilities we needed to feel at home. The owner, Veronica, was helpful with everything we needed. Since the apartment is on a slope, I’d suggest taking a taxi from the train station if you have big luggage.

The hosts made us feel welcome from the start and were always happy to help us enjoy our stay. The apartments are modern, comfortable, and spotless, with excellent facilities right in the centre. We’d happily stay again.
