A massive disappointment. The worst part was getting there. The hotel recommended "Taxi Christoph," apparently its usual advice for guests. We asked what it would cost from Täsch to the hotel and were quoted 36 CHF. Instead, the driver left us at the village entrance, a 40-minute walk from the hotel, and said we'd need another e-taxi for 23 CHF. Maybe everyone who knows Zermatt knows how this works, but we were first-time visitors and had been quoted a price "to the hotel." That felt like outright robbery. Recommending a company that treats guests this way is completely bottomless. Avoid this place if you value your nerves and wallet. Getting to the hotel is a nightmare if you arrive after 19:00, when the bus stops running. It's too far to walk from the station, so you're forced to take a taxi. The room was far too hot, with no way to regulate the temperature, and the soundproofing was nonexistent: we could hear everything from the street and neighboring rooms. The staff were incredibly pushy, too. Check-out was at 10:30, and at 10:32 they stormed into the room to say we were "late," even though we were seconds from leaving.

The rooms were really clean and tidy, and the views were the best. It's also very close to the gondola station. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Especially the guy in the red hoodie who wears glasses, and the blond lady who recommended places and slopes in Zermatt even though she was sick. I'm sorry I didn't catch their names. 🥹💕🙏🏻

The hotel is a bit of a walk, with some uphill along the way. We got an upgrade to a room with a direct view of the mountain, and there was a wide choice at breakfast, with the same view while we ate. We also got to use the sauna and hammam area, which was a real plus. Love it!!

The hotel was nice, the views were great, and the front desk staff were helpful and kind. The night before breakfast, the front desk guy was especially helpful, five stars for him. Breakfast was another story, and the way the women working there handled it felt very rude and odd. We both swear we'd been told breakfast ended at 10:30. We arrived at 9:55, then asked what time it ended and were told 10. We apologized for being late and said we'd take one plate and stay out of the way. Before 10, they started clearing all the food, trying to pull it away while we were reaching for it. They even took apart the coffee machine and removed the water. It felt like they were racing to stop us eating. Five stars for the front desk guy, zero for the weird kitchen ladies.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast room had a great view, and the location was excellent. From the Matterhorn Express station there's a bit of an uphill walk, or you can take the bus.
