OVERLOOK Lodge by CERVO Zermatt

The space, location, and views were phenomenal, and Simon was quick and thorough over WhatsApp. Still, I left feeling like a second-class resort guest despite paying top dollar, and that took away from our time in Zermatt. I expected resort perks with a luxury serviced apartment, but daily cleaning costs an extra 250 CHF, pool and spa access costs extra too, while hotel guests get those facilities free. Apartment guests are sent a taxi from the train instead of being picked up by the hotel shuttle. The apartment also needs some upkeep. A few throw pillows were stained and shabby, the curtains were broken, and the soap seemed oddly watered down. I was really excited about this seemingly stunning three-bedroom, three-bath penthouse suite in Zermatt by Cervo, so those gaps were disappointing.

The view was the best of our whole trip, and being able to cook our own food helped us save money. We loved staying here and would happily come back soon.

We had a perfect stay, with great facilities and staff who were always ready to help with a smile. The view from the living room made it especially nice to spend time admiring Matterhorn. One of our best experiences ever.

I cried when I arrived, it felt like a fantastic dream. The view was the best, the apartment was clean, and the staff were so kind, polite, and nice. I loved everything. Cervo really wants you to feel at home, and I recommend it for everything. Highly recommended 😊👌👍
