The village is lovely, and getting here by train was easy. It’s about an eight-minute walk toward the church, where the charming owner of this traditional family hotel welcomed me. My room was beautiful and completely quiet, with a coffee machine, sparkling water, complimentary toiletries, a seating area, TV and heating. The shower was great, with hot water for as long as I needed. Breakfast had several cheeses and cold meats, a choice of breads and croissants, plus creamy scrambled eggs, orange juice and coffee. A delightful place to stay in this area.

The staff were friendly and gave great hiking information. Room #1 was clean and well kept, with fresh linen, a TV, three chairs, a desk and an armoire for hanging clothes. The Nespresso machine was a nice extra. Breakfast is simple since they no longer have a full kitchen: coffee, tea, bread, juice, cheese and dried meats.

We found it to be extremely good value and would gladly come back. It’s family run, and the host was personable and communicative. Breakfast service was superb, with eggs cooked to order. Our basic room used shared toilet and bath facilities, but they were kept meticulously clean. Dogs are welcome too.

The room, shower, facilities and food were all wonderful. Our cozy, all-wood room smelled amazing and felt just like a mountain chalet should. The staff welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home right away, with open arms and even a hug. This place was the best, and I highly recommend it.

For a cozy, homely Swiss stay, I’d certainly recommend this place. The traditional Swiss architecture and wooden interiors are lovely, and the staff were helpful and informative. Room layouts and prices vary, with some rooms having an ensuite and others sharing a shower, so check the facilities beforehand if you want an ensuite, which costs extra.
