Gästehaus Convict Zuoz

We were there with our university ice hockey team, and being just a two-minute walk from the train station was ideal. At 54 CHF per person, including breakfast and taxes, it felt a little expensive for fairly basic rooms, though we didn’t need much. The room had two single beds, a bunk bed, a sink and a mirror, which suited us since we spent most of the day out. Breakfast was a buffet with cereal, bread, ham, cheese, hot drinks and orange juice. It was ready before I got up and ran until 10, so there was lots of time to eat. Towels were provided, and the shared showers had shower gel. The shared areas were very clean and easy to use, and there was hot water whenever we used them. There was comfortable seating and sofas where we could work, plus outdoor space to sit and take in the view. The keys were kept behind reception and could be accessed at any time, even though reception wasn’t staffed. That made coming and going easy, though security didn’t feel especially strong. We didn’t have to coordinate who had the key when others in our room were still out. The host was friendly, the rooms were good, and the facilities and breakfast were nice. A very good stay overall.
