City Pop 2Night Zürich City - Self check-in

The room and bathroom felt new and were both great, and the beds and mattresses were very good. The shower had strong water pressure, too. I don't understand the complaints about noise. The hotel is well located, about a 500 m walk from the station along a very nice route through the market. I booked through Agoda and didn't receive the entry code in advance, but they sent it as soon as I called. You do need to check in online because there's no reception on site. We visited in early April and didn't need air conditioning. The digital temperature control didn't seem to work, though, so hopefully they switch it on in summer. I'd normally rate the place 4 stars, but gave it 5 to make up for the low scores from earlier reviewers.

Street noise could bother light sleepers, but I still had a good stay and have already booked twice with City Pop 2N. I'll come back. It's good value near the main station, with cafes and restaurants around and a Coop supermarket right downstairs. The in-room coffee machine is a nice extra, and the Meraki toiletries were good.

The location made getting around Zurich easy, and I really liked how straightforward check-in and check-out were. The facilities felt modern, and everything was clean, comfortable, and well organized. I'd happily stay here again.

The hotel is close enough to walk to the city center, but we couldn't sleep either of our two nights there. People on the rather rough street were talking and shouting loudly until 5 or 6 a.m., and the noise came straight into the room. If you stay here, avoid a room facing the street.
