The kindness I received made a very difficult weekend manageable. After a rough morning and an unexpected change of plans, I arrived in Zurich upset and vulnerable, needing a hotel at short notice. Anastasia welcomed me warmly at check-in, and stayed caring and attentive throughout her shift, including while she was working in the bar. On Monday, two men at the bar noticed I wasn't quite myself and checked in on me. I don't know their names, but one said he was Colombian. A man working in the bar or kitchen also saw me crying in the garden seating area, brought me water, and asked if I was okay. That small gesture meant more than I can say. Zurich can have a reputation for feeling cold compared with cities like Geneva, but my experience was the opposite. I don't think I would have got through that weekend without their warmth and compassion. I hope the hotel recognizes these thoughtful, caring people. It's fortunate to have them.

The location in central Zurich was good, and I enjoyed the bar. The staff were polite and very nice, but the hotel cost too much for what it offered, especially as a place to relax over my three-night stay. The room looked nice, though the design choices made it uncomfortable: there was no dresser, drawers, or useful place for luggage except the floor. The bathroom door slammed shut hard every time, while the main room door just fell open. Breakfast was only okay, and I got a paper cup instead of a water glass, despite the hotel's emphasis on being environmentally friendly. I put out both the "don't change my sheets/towels" and "do not disturb" tags each day, but staff seemed to ignore them, come in, move my things, and replace and fold the towels. I wanted to come and go in a relaxed way, but with the room's lack of practical features I felt on edge. For the price, I wouldn't choose it as a restful place again.

In January 2026, we booked two rooms for one night of family travel. The hotel is a large, modern place built around a courtyard, and it was quiet. The beds and quality bedding were really comfortable, so we slept very well. The rooms were average in size, with small bathrooms and luxury toiletries. Breakfast was in a big room with lots to choose from, and the service is available 24 hours. Staff were very professional and helpful. It's easy to get to the train or walk to nearby sights and restaurants.

The lounge is beautiful, breakfast was hearty, and the staff were courteous and well trained. Check-in was quick, and the basic rooms felt cozy. It's a big building with long corridors, but the central spot puts the main station, offices, lake, shopping street, and old city all within walking distance. There was no kettle in the room. Good value, and we'd stay again, as we did.
