Breakfast was made to order because it was out of season, rather than served buffet style as usual. The owner served it and was very kind. There was a great choice of TV channels, but the promised WiFi was so spotty I had to use my own connection to get anything done. The room was clean, tasteful, and had good-quality furnishings, plus a lovely view and a sofa. Still, it was cold despite the snow outside in March. The bathroom heating lamp didn't help, there was no extra blanket in the cupboard, and there was no way to make tea or a desk. The bed had very dangerous sharp corners. The hotel has a lovely Tyrol atmosphere, lots of rooms and stairs, and no elevator. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the town center.

It’s a charming, family-run hotel with a warm welcome. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable, and the place felt very friendly. I’m amazed by the couple of negative reviews here. I highly recommend it.

A friendly host, a clean room, and a nice breakfast made this a very good stay. The area was completely quiet, and it’s a good base for hiking. The hotel is close enough to the center to walk down and back. I recommend it.

Franziska, our hostess, was just lovely, and it was really nice staying at Sonneg Hotel Gran and visiting Zweisimmen from 23-26.6. The hotel is really cozy.
