The service is poor, and they provide rooms with technical problems that they can’t fix the same day. Payment seems to be the first thing they ask about. The location is good, near the Ghana embassy, and it’s a quiet area. I’d stay away from this hotel.

There are several room types at different prices. In August 2025, a basic room cost 20,000 CF and had the essentials: air conditioning, hot water, a double bed, a towel, soap, and toilet paper. You’ll need to bring your own electric kettle.

After more than three years in C.I., I wish I’d discovered this place sooner. I’ve stayed here three times as an American woman traveling alone, and it’s the best place I’ve found unless you’re super rich and happy to pay hundreds a night. The first time I could only get a basic room, and it was fine. On my second visit I had a first-floor room with a bathtub. This time it feels like a one-bedroom apartment, and the price is affordable. It’s quiet, with thick windows, and I haven’t seen a single mosquito. The place is exceptionally clean, and the service and security are first class. Many staff members speak English, are very professional, and help me with anything I need for the room or getting around Abidjan. Kevin at the front desk speaks perfect English and went above and beyond. Honestly, all the staff could work in Beverly Hills.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, and keep having bad experiences. Two or three days into a stay, staff tell me my room was reserved two weeks earlier and that I have to move. The facilities aren’t good, and the staff behave badly. Once, an outside person came saying I still owed for two nights and took my money. Then the staff said they didn’t know where I’d paid. They keep bothering people. There are plenty of good, cheap hotels in Abidjan, so please don’t use Bethany Hotel. They don’t know how to deal with people.
