The food and service stood out: everything was handled very professionally, and the portions are generous for the money. I especially liked the fried fish starter and the shrimp and avocado salad. The prices are definitely on the high side, but seem fair for the quality. Great location too, and a strong alternative to the Bay.

We left Katoum after dinner with my family pretty disappointed. We waited around 25 minutes in the bar area just to get drinks. The pizza was good, but the grilled chicken tasted like it wasn’t made that day and seemed microwaved, while the calamari was still frozen. For a place with this kind of standing, serving food from previous days isn’t acceptable.

We stopped in for coffee and a Campari, and they brought peanuts on the side. Lovely ocean views from this beautiful restaurant and bar. A great spot for a relaxed afternoon, highly recommend it.

There’s plenty of space to relax, and the beach is clean and nice. We enjoyed the food, even though it’s somewhat expensive, and the service was wonderful. They also run sightseeing tours into a park to see animals and other things. It’s about an hour’s drive from San Pedro, and would be enjoyable for a family visit.

The hotel offers a trip to monkey island for 5,000 fcfa per person. We had excellent service, and the food, cocktails, and dessert were all excellent too. Don’t miss the pineapple upside down cake.
