The location was hard to beat. Behind the house are jagged tropical mountains, with Muri lagoon in front. The nearby beach is a little rocky, like much of Raro, but a natural powder-sandbar island is a short paddleboard trip across the lagoon. Our kids spent countless hours playing there. We also enjoyed watching the pros try for Giant Trevally almost every day at Robbie Jr's GT tours next door. We aren't experienced fishers, but Robbie Jr patiently explained the trade, and the business brought some foot traffic and extra excitement to the grounds. The house was beautiful, clean, and very well provisioned. Photos don't quite do it justice. We loved the downstairs living and kitchen area, as well as the second-floor master. Feeling the trade winds while lying in bed at night was pure bliss. We were lucky to book with Susanna and Robert for the New Year's holiday. They welcomed us warmly, brought organic fruit from their garden, and shared island tips throughout our stay. It was a lovely balance of privacy and thoughtful, personal help from local hosts. Thanks, Susanna, Robert, and Robbie Jr, for making our stay magical!

The beach just outside is a bit rocky, especially if you're travelling with young kids. There's a nice sandy beach a couple of hundred metres down the coast, and the house also has a sea-water pool. Inside, the house was spotless and beautifully designed, with everything we needed and lovely views over the lagoon. Our expectations were already high from the photos and reviews, but the stay still exceeded them. Susanna and Robert were thoughtful and caring while giving us plenty of privacy. Susanna's house is a fantastic choice for a quiet family getaway. If we return to the Cook Islands, we wouldn't look at other options.

We were sorry to leave this wonderful beach house and would come back anytime. It felt like a home away from home, with top-quality interiors and beautiful woodwork that made it feel warm. The balcony with its sea view was lovely for relaxing, and the pool was great for cooling off. Susanna and Rob looked after us so well, even bringing herbs for tea when someone in our group wasn't feeling well. Late checkout was no problem either.

It felt so good to be back at Kaireva Beach House. Susanna and Robert kindly booked and rebooked my stay a few times over the last two years, and when we finally returned, we enjoyed it just as much. The house is still beautiful and clean. We spent our days swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. Robert junior took my son fishing and showed him how to open a coconut. I loved the organic fruit from Roberts farm and the Moringa tea, which I think is better than coffee and so much healthier.

Rob and Susanna were lovely and very accommodating hosts. The house is beautiful, and the lagoon views are stunning. I loved walking to the end of the pier to look at the fish, and we had heaps of fun using the pool every day. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
