The bungalow had everything we needed and was clean, with fresh towels every four days and beach towels provided too. The two staff members looking after the place were friendly and around during the day while the owners were away. I also loved watching all the chickens. Each morning I sat on the deck to watch the sunrise, and at night we carried two reclining chairs down to the beach to look at the stars. This part of the island isn’t good for swimming, but it’s only a few minutes’ drive south to a swimming beach. We still enjoyed walking along the shore to spot little fish and shells. Muri beach area is about a 40-minute walk or a five-minute drive. There’s a convenience store across the road and Vili’s nearby for great burgers and pizza. My only reason for taking off a star is that the bed and mattress could be newer and better.

The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent, close to Vili’s burgers and a convenience store. It’s right on the beachfront, almost over the water, with a lovely breeze and great views. The place is fully self-contained and felt perfectly romantic. The beach isn’t great for swimming, but it’s a lovely quiet spot to relax, with very few other guests on the property. Loved it here!

We had to sweep the floor when we arrived, and the villas weren’t clean. There was mould on the kitchen utensils and inside the drawers, plus dead insects on the bed frame. To top it off, we were told at 7pm the night before that we had to pay $35 for cleaning. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The owners made us feel like unwanted house guests, and we felt uncomfortable with them watching our comings and goings from the porch. If you want to enjoy your time, don’t stay here.

The gardens were beautiful and well kept, and the views were lovely. There was plenty of space, including large beds and bedrooms, a kitchenette and everything we needed. It was peaceful, quiet and in a perfect location, with an amazing host. We’ve stayed in 5 star accommodation on the island, but this was the best place of all. Couldn’t fault it, and I’d stay here again without hesitation.

The room was beautiful and clean, and the hosts were warm and welcoming. The beachfront BBQ and outdoor area was so relaxing, all at a very good price. Tropical Sands was perfectly located, and I’d highly recommend it.
