It’s a nice place, and the breakfast was really tasty. But I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone from outside Latin America because paying turned into a very stressful experience. On the first day, card payment wasn’t possible, so I made a bank transfer. It didn’t arrive, even though I asked several times whether the bank address was right. While I waited, the host kept pressing me to pay twice the amount, saying he’d send it back once the transfer came through. The next day I tried to get cash, but the local Western Union had none. When I came back without any, the host got angry and yelled at my travel friend, saying it was bad education and that we should pay. The following day I was so stressed that I hitchhiked 5km to the next village to look for cash, but they had none either. When I returned, the host had borrowed a card reader from someone, and I paid that way. The host thought I was betraying him, while I thought he was trying to charge me twice for four days. Half a year later, the money was sent back to my account. Other people may well have had different experiences.
