Hostal Mundo Nuevo

I could happily come back here. The windows open all the way toward the water, and the spots for working were perfect. The laundry setup was lovely, Martin was excellent, and breakfast was delicious. It's a really nice location, and the restaurant next door is worth trying.

MARTIN, the owner and host, made the biggest difference. He speaks several languages, knows the area well, and gave us a lot of help when an unexpected crisis came up, along with great activity suggestions. We also had a nutritious breakfast every morning. Being near town, with a harbor view and a restaurant in the same building, were other nice parts of the stay.

We loved walking along the sea, and my daughter was especially happy with the little jungle gym. The kitchen has everything you need to make lunch or dinner if you don't feel like going out. Our room was very spacious, with a small window overlooking the bay. Breakfast was very good, and the receptionist helped us arrange tours. This was one of the nicest places to stay in Ancud, with the promenade right outside and the bus terminal an easy walk away.

The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast did the job. Our bedroom was huge but sparsely decorated, and a softer bed would've been nice. The sea is right across from the property, and most of Ancud's tourist spots are within walking distance.
