Hampton by Hilton Antofagasta

A clean place with really good service, and a solid choice when you need somewhere to sleep after a workday. The rooms are okay, but they need maintenance; the building is getting old, and it shows. Breakfast could use more choices. Everything else works well.

The view and how much of it guests can enjoy are what set this comfortable hotel apart. Even if your room doesn't face the ocean, the 14th-floor lobby, breakfast bar, and lounge are a beautiful space with great views. The gym and jacuzzi are on the 15th floor, with more lovely views. The staff are really nice too. High five to whoever approved this layout.

A very good, sea-facing hotel with a nice view and good value for money.

The supermarket and beer spot in the basement are useful, and the terrace and 14th-floor lobby have a great view. At night, you can see Antofagasta and the dawn is lovely. But traffic is still loud even up there. The sea-facing rooms look beautiful, though traffic noise comes through because the rooms aren't well insulated. Rooms at the back are a little quieter, but face a construction site. The hotel is about 45 minutes from the city center, and walking along the costanera road isn't pleasant. The basic breakfast has fruit and eggs, but could be better, and there's only instant coffee. Staff felt a bit too strict. This didn't feel like the service I'd expect from a Hilton spin-off.
