The location is the standout for me. It's close to downtown Castro and only a few minutes from the bus terminal. The common areas were pleasant, the room was comfortable, and the woman who looked after us was very kind and friendly. My partner and I stayed for two nights. The kitchen has plenty of equipment, but we were told the stove couldn't be used for proper cooking, only for boiling a few eggs or making something like a salad. We had to buy dinner both nights, so anyone on a tight budget should factor that in. To me, the place felt more like a motel than a hostel. There are only two bathrooms, and on Friday, when we checked out, they became a bottleneck because it seemed most guests were leaving that day. Check-out is at 10:30, so getting a shower and breakfast meant waking up early. My partner couldn't shower, and I ended up with ice-cold water because both bathrooms use electric water heaters. We also had just one working outlet in our room apart from the one for the smart TV, so we had to take turns charging our devices. It works as a place to sleep, but I think the kitchen would be much more useful if guests could actually cook there.

Patricia and Nemesio made the stay especially nice. They're warm, kind people who gave us advice and helped point us toward beautiful places to see. We really appreciated their welcome and the excellent service. The place itself is clean, tidy, and inviting. It's also less than five minutes from the city center and the bus terminal. We're very grateful for the experience ❤️

I came without a plan and wound up staying longer. Saying goodbye was hard, but I'll definitely be back. Patricia and Nemesio are kind hosts, and they create the sort of friendly, welcoming atmosphere that feels like Chiloé. The location is handy for walks at any hour, and I went out every day. It's just steps from both the beach and the town center. The facilities are well kept, with clean linens, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and access to a kitchen.

There were 19 of us, and Patricia and Nemecio were so kind and attentive, answering all our questions. The place was clean, people were friendly, and the location made it easy to reach public transport, the lake, artisan market, shops, a bank, and Castro's main square. The beds were very clean and comfortable, and the spacious kitchen had everything we needed, from pots and plates to glasses and cups. The bathrooms were always clean too. It was a wonderful experience, and I'm eager to return. I recommend staying at "Haga tuto aquí". You'll fall in love with Castro and the accommodation.
