Aqualuna Hotel

The rooms smelled damp and had terrible ventilation. After our evening event, we came back and no one answered the door; we knocked for at least an hour, waiting for the night watchman to wake up. Breakfast was just as bad. Nobody was there to serve us, then a woman showed up, was unpleasant, and scolded us for taking stale bread even though no one had been there to help. This was in 2023, and we still remember it. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

The room itself was lovely, with a comfortable bed, hot water, and good internet. But the manager is a real pain, and the fussy reservation process, which is all handled by email, felt uncomfortable and annoying. They seem to think they're a 5-star hotel. I've stayed at better places where they weren't so picky.

We were only passing through and stayed in a very nice room for three. The bathroom was spotless, and they offer towels, breakfast, and parking. There was no Wi-Fi when we were there, though I know they have it. It's on Chañaral's main street, two blocks from the center.

Mr. Andrés was so kind to us as travelers and really looked out for motorcyclists. He made our night wonderful. Highly recommended ☺️
