RQ Hotel Dacarlo

The staff are really friendly and try to make your stay comfortable, but the hotel itself is a dump. The rooms are tiny and dirty, the beds are uncomfortable, and bugs crawl over you while you're trying to sleep. There's no air conditioning, just a dirty fan, and only one power outlet in the whole room. Buses passing the building keep you awake all night. There's no room safe, and we had plumbing problems: first a blocked toilet, then no hot water in two rooms. Breakfast is just bread and cheese. The dishwashing area is in the dining room, so dirty dishes stack up on the counters. They don't keep bottled water, and there is graffiti on the front walls. In all my travels around the world, this is the worst hotel I've stayed in. Pay a little more and stay somewhere decent.

The room was reasonably comfortable, and being so close to the bus stations can be convenient. But it's really noisy, with street horns liable to wake you up. Breakfast was extremely basic.

The street vendors nearby are always interesting, and there are lots of restaurants and supermarkets close by. The rooms are spacious, breakfast is good, and the staff are friendly, with English-speaking workers too. A great place.

For the price, the rooms were large and very clean. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. If you need an affordable hotel for four people, this is a good fit.
