Hostal O'Higgins

It's clean and works for a night while passing through. This is a family-run place, and the bedroom is really just somewhere to brush your teeth and sleep. The bunks take up so much room that you have to slide them sideways to get around. Still, it was fine for an overnight stay.

I wouldn't stay here again. The hostel feels cold and unwelcoming, and it's noisy because it's on a corner with lots of traffic and pedestrians. There's no proper parking, just a small courtyard where they squeeze in barely four cars. It might do for one night, if you're lucky.

When I arrived, the person in charge had no idea about my reservation, and someone else was already in the room I'd been assigned. The replacement room he offered wasn't ready, and he seemed irritated instead of trying to sort it out. The service was terrible. I wouldn't rely on this place or recommend it.

The staff member was especially friendly and polite, and the stay was acceptable. Internet, parking, and TV are included. The mattresses were very firm and could be more comfortable. Even small things like replacing the door handles would help, since details like that can make a difference. Good luck!
