The patio was a mess when we got there, with bedding scattered around, and a sick cat was on the sofas and wandering over the dining table and chairs. Our check-in was a mess too: the person there didn't know about our reservation, and after sending us to one room, they moved us to a smaller one because the owner told them to. Its flimsy bunk bed wobbled when we sat down, and blocked most of the window. The bunk bed in the other room blocked that window too, leaving no natural light. We couldn't use a kettle for hot water. They kept thermoses of supposedly boiled water, but it was lukewarm, and the owner wouldn't let us turn one on while the jacuzzi was in use. I wouldn't recommend this hostel or stay here again.

I've stayed here twice already and will come back whenever I'm in Copiapo again. It's quiet and pretty central, there's parking, and the staff are attentive and really friendly. Highly recommend it for a great stay.

The location near the center is about the only reason I'd consider this for a short stop in Copiapó. We stayed three days and two nights with family, and I honestly wouldn't recommend a longer visit. They hadn't registered our reservation, though we'd contacted them on WhatsApp, and the first room smelled damp and of cat. They hadn't told us there were cats, some sick, which was a serious issue for me because I'm allergic. They moved us, but the beds were very uncomfortable, the bunk beds felt unsafe, the faucets were broken, and the blankets were thin. It was so cold I went looking for another blanket, but found a cat sleeping on them, so I stuck with what I had. We couldn't heat water for tea while the jacuzzi was on, according to the owner. We also couldn't hang things up because laundry service costs extra, so no towels outside. Fine for one night, maybe, but not for staying longer. Two stars for the location.

What a terrible experience. Blankets were scattered everywhere, and it was the worst thing I've ever had to deal with.
