Apart-Hotel Colonial

We ultimately did not stay. The owner said our Booking.com reservation was caused by a website error, explaining that during peak season they require at least three nights and don't allow price reductions. He said he'd still honor the price and service, but when we pointed out that the Booking.com issue wasn't ours, his attitude changed. He threatened not to let us stay, and in the end did not accept us. I told him in Chilean slang that the service was awful. He replied that he was the owner and we were disrespecting him in his own home, then made an implicit threat, saying I should be grateful he wasn't a hothead. We had booked several weeks earlier, giving the hotel plenty of time to raise any issue with the terms, since they had our phone number and email address. Unacceptable.

This was my second time choosing this place. The apartments are well equipped and comfortable, with everything needed for a good stay, and the location is excellent. The service was great and the prices are very good.

The salsa club has good drinks and a great atmosphere. My only gripe is the lack of private parking. Otherwise, no complaints.

A quiet, family-friendly spot with a great vibe and excellent service. It's a block from the beach, with a pub and restaurant nearby. Highly recommended.
