We felt very safe here as two women traveling on our own, and never had to wait for one of the four bathrooms or two showers. The rooms were a little cold, and the bathrooms were what you'd expect in a hostel, but otherwise it was perfect. It's only a short walk to central Coyhaique, with a well-equipped kitchen, parking, and a good space to socialize or work.

The people were nice, and the kitchen really is huge, but I found the hostel overrated. They cleaned the bathroom right away after we pointed out that it hadn't been cleaned, which we appreciated. Later, though, we noticed how dusty the room floor was, and even found a piece of clothing covered in dust under the bed. It could be a lovely place, but the rooms need a lot more cleaning.

We were able to rest for a few days at this Hostal/Campsite and really enjoyed staying there. The team was very friendly and warm, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also liked the building's look, an old house restored with simple, lovely woodwork.

The owners were friendly, and I liked their ideas for the living and kitchen spaces. They'd only recently opened the Hostel and seemed busy with construction, though, so it was sometimes hard to find staff and some parts felt unfinished. We paid about 50 euro for a private room, which seemed overpriced while the place was still being built. The walls were new but stopped halfway at a glass window, so the rooms were extremely noisy. We could hear a crying baby and a snoring lumberjack as if they were right there in bed with us. Their friendliness left me with mixed feelings, but maybe the place will improve with time.

After staying in lots of hostels in Chile, I'd easily call this the best one. It's clean and well organized, the staff are friendly, and the location is very central. There's also some nice outdoor space. Five-star service at hostel prices, 100% recommended.
