The river by the Posada and all the nearby scenery made the stay special. Malalcahuello RN, Crater Navidad and Salto de la Princesa were easy to reach by car, and we also loved Araucanía and Conguillo NP a little farther away. We spent four lovely days with Claudia and Pedro in a peaceful, spacious, comfortable place where every detail felt cared for. They were warm, welcoming people, and we had some really nice, interesting conversations. Pedro makes wonderful pizza, and Claudia's bread and torta de nueces were delicious. It felt like home from the moment we arrived. We'd love to return in winter, and hope Claudia and her family can visit us in Cologne one day. Carina and Robert

I came to possada del Rio to rent a mountain bike for a day trip, knowing very little about the area. Pedro and I quickly realized we shared a love of mountain biking, and that turned into a lovely evening on the terrace with him and Claudia at their beautiful lodge. The next day I rode an amazing route around the volcanoes Pedro had recommended. Thanks to you both for a great evening and Amazon ride!

We felt right at home, and the house was warm with comfortable beds. Pedro and Claudia were wonderful hosts, cooking delicious dinners and breakfasts and checking that we had everything we needed. Their children were adorable, kind, and welcoming too. The lodge is in a great spot, just a few minutes by car from Corralco for skiing, with beautiful nature all around. A booking note: reply to the email they send after you book online, since it includes a payment request. If you miss it, they may not know you're coming. We accidentally overlooked it, so Pedro and Claudia weren't expecting us, but they still made room for us. As soon as we arrived, they made sure we were comfortable and cooked dinner. We really appreciated how quickly and kindly they handled our mistake. Such an incredible trip, we'd love to come back soon!
