Hotel Catripulli

I’m reviewing the restaurant since I didn’t stay at the hotel. We went with my family, and the service was rude and unhelpful from the start. They rushed us while choosing and didn’t let us linger after eating. They offer over 14 daily menus, but none of the four we ordered were very good. The fries looked pale and boiled. I also found it unpleasant that condiment containers were refilled from used jars, though maybe locals don’t mind.

The staff were kind and attentive, but service was painfully slow. A pitcher of water would sometimes arrive as we were leaving, and twice it never arrived at all. The food was often cold or didn’t come, and sometimes the chicken was undercooked. On some days it was inedible, though at least there was a mini-market nearby. The rooms were awful, dusty and full of spiders, as if they hadn’t been cleaned before we got them. We could hear every word from next door, and one window wouldn’t close because it was crooked and had to stay slightly open. The shower swung between freezing and scalding, and I got a terrible burn on my shoulder. It was a terrible stay, and I wouldn’t go back. I have nothing bad to say about the staff, though, they were all very kind.

The staff were fantastic, always friendly and willing to help. The hotel feels welcoming, and the restaurant has an excellent selection of dishes at very reasonable prices. I had an amazing few days and would definitely return. 100% recommended.

Catalina was really friendly, and lunch was delicious. It’s very affordable too. Highly recommended!
