Cabañas Te Maori

On 12.23.2025 the staff were super helpful and adjusted our Booking.com reservation to just two nights because the hotel would be closed on Christmas Eve. The location was great, the room had AC and a Spanish-speaking TV, and we enjoyed the restaurant. The staff were terrific. For breakfast, they made scrambled eggs to order along with a continental spread.

The team running this place are excellent and go out of their way to answer questions and help. It’s gorgeous and in an excellent location, and breakfast, while not huge, was enough to get you going. Some rooms, including mine, could use a bit of maintenance, but the issues were minor. The internet is, well, you’re on an island in the middle of the Pacific, so what do you expect?

A little oasis of a hotel, with a lovely pool and a good breakfast each morning, including fresh avocado. The hosts were very nice and offer airport pickup and drop-off. They can arrange tours too, though we didn’t take one. We’d booked a fan room, but they managed to put us in a room with aircon, which we were very grateful for. It’s close to several restaurants and dive shops by the shore.

The furniture outside was old, dirty, and uncomfortable, so there wasn’t really anywhere to relax except in the breakfast area. There were no flowers in the room, or even a glass for water. I was also forgotten at the airport because they assumed I was arriving from a cruise ship, despite my five-night stay. It was disappointing, nothing like the praise in the other reviews, and far too expensive. Not worth it if you want a comfortable stay.
