The apartment style room was spotless and well organized, with all the kitchen supplies we needed. We liked the location too, about a 10 minute walk to the center and fairly close to the moai sunset. The woman who picked us up at the airport was so welcoming and friendly. Things were fine until our last day. We'd booked an airport shuttle for 12:30 and assumed we could use the room until then. But when we got back at 11:15, there was a note on the door saying housekeeping needed access. We learned checkout was at 10. We asked if we could use the kitchen for another 15 minutes to prepare food. The woman at the counter said we could stay until 12 only if we paid 120 USD for another day, otherwise we had to leave immediately. We ended up throwing the food away, and the cleaner took a few more minutes to arrive.

The hostel has good beds and showers and a great location. But the dollar to peso exchange rate they used was wrong. I showed them, and they still charged me too much. Then I asked to get my pesos back so I could pay in dollars, but they didn't return the money. They also made me wait three hours until 2 pm, even though the cleaner had already finished the room. The service here s*cked.

I loved the stay. The bed was really comfortable, there was hot water, and everything was clean. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the friendly place had everything we needed for a peaceful visit. The hosts were very kind, answered our questions, and gave excellent service. Breakfast was tasty and good, and they paid close attention to their guests.

The facilities were clean, the mattresses were comfortable, and the price seemed reasonable compared with other places on Easter Island. The owner helped me build a fire when I wanted to grill meat, and the kitchen had everything I needed. They also picked me up at the airport and gave me a Moai necklace at checkout. My three nights and four days were so much fun and left me with great memories. I only wish I'd stayed three nights and four days.
