La casa del Kori

I stayed at Casa del Kori for three nights and had a great time. The room was comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and the WiFi was great. The staff were really kind and helpful, including on my birthday. Kori picked me up from the airport and took me back there, too. Breakfast is simple but good for getting something to eat before heading out on adventures.

At night you can see the stars from the balcony, and sometimes the neighbors’ cats or dog stop by the garden to say hello. They’re the loveliest animals. I spent two weeks at Kori’s house in March, and it felt like home away from home. Kori is kindness in person. The buffet breakfast is great, everything is always very clean, and the house is on a quiet street not far from the center. I can only recommend it. Thank you, Kori!

Kori and his family were incredibly helpful with organizing tours, and so patient with tourists who were new to the island. I changed my mind a few times about activities, and Kori was always ready to help. The hostel also felt warm and social. I’d been there just an hour when I joined Kori and four other solo female travelers in his van for a beach trip. From the moment I arrived at the airport, I felt welcome at Kori’s. It was one of my favorite stays in Chile, and I’d absolutely stay again. Great for getting into island life and meeting people.

Kori knows the island well, and his tour prices were very reasonable. I booked a couple, including a sunrise tour. Halfway there, when it was cloudy, he offered to reschedule for the next day at no extra charge. That showed how much he cares about his guests having a good experience. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy, and Kori even made the beds every day, which is unusual in a hostel with shared rooms. I’d have no hesitation recommending La Casa de Kori to other visitors to the island. Que disfruten!
