Hotel Amancaes

I signed up and paid what they charged, then asked for a receipt. It took 40 minutes, and then the owner surprised me by saying I had to pay VAT separately on top of the charge just to get one. That felt like a SCAM, and I planned to report it the next day. I went back today and things had changed. When you pay by card, they give you a receipt for services.

The view is excellent, and the hostel is clean, roomy and comfortable. It's centrally located, with easy access to the beach, restaurants and other amenities, and customer service is immediate. The food is the one thing I'd improve, but I still recommend it 100%. A great place to relax.

Most of the photos on search engines don't show what the hotel is really like. For the price, it's very expensive. The rooms have deteriorating walls, the bathroom is only in fair condition, and there's a bad smell. Guests get little attention or information, and the neighborhood is dangerous at night. I don't recommend it.

A simple place that works well for a couple of days of work. It's quite clean, service is good, and there's a mini-market next door that stays open late, which is handy. Check whether parking is available.
