Chalet Valluga

The staff were so kind and helpful, and we had a great time at the hotel. We stayed three nights with our 6-year-old, and all of us wished we could have stayed longer.

The rooms were smaller than I expected, but the service was the best I’ve ever experienced. Victoria and Amalia were so attentive, thoughtful, sweet, and kind, and the owners were lovely too. Chalet Valluga is ideally placed for skiing at Farellones, which is within walking distance, as well as Valle Nevado, El Colorado, and La Parva. Breakfast and dinner were very good too.

The sunsets were spectacular, especially from the hot tub with a glass of wine. Dorin and Havier, along with their staff, made us feel spoiled. They’re wonderful people with a real eye for detail and hospitality, and getting to know them was a pleasure. Chalet Valluga is a charming oasis in the heart of Farellones. Breakfast and dinner were included, so we didn’t have to worry much about meals, though there are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. El Colorado and La Parva are about a 10-minute drive away, and Valle Nevado is 30 minutes away. The chalet offers shuttles to each resort, and Dorin happily arranged ours each day. The whole stay was stress-free. I hope we can come back someday!

We drove up to Farellones on a beautiful Sunday afternoon looking for lunch, and were so glad we found Chalet Valluga. The long-time local family running it couldn’t have been kinder or more welcoming. The food was fabulous and reasonably priced. They smoke the meat right there, and those were the best baby back ribs I’ve had in Chile. Highly recommend Chalet Valluga!
