The room door had a hole, the underside of the bed was cracked, and the TV remote didn't work. I was quoted 65.000 Chilean pesos for an extra day and gave the owner $100.00, but he charged me 68.000 thousand Chilean pesos instead. That's not right, it felt like daylight robbery. I'll never go back. If you say something, stick to your word.

The owners are very friendly, and it's about a 10 minute walk to the lake. The place is okay, but the cabins are too close together and you can hear noise until very late. It can also get annoyingly hot inside.

It's an okay place at a fair price, unlike huilo huilo private park, and only 13 km away. The cabin is normal, with a traditional gas heater. It's in the very quiet little town of choswenco, whose streets aren't paved, right across from a small grocery store. One thing to know: they only take cash in town and there are no ATMs. Get cash in Panguipulli, the nearest town with an ATM and gas, 50 km away.
