Hostal Los Alamos Neltume

It’s a peaceful campground, and the price of $10,000 CLP per person is excellent for what’s offered. The pool and laundry facilities are a bonus, and I’ve never seen laundry at another campsite. The covered sites are tidy and spacious, with their own electrical outlet and lighting. The place is kept quite clean, and the staff are very helpful and ready to assist. A few things could be better: the shower area is small, there are no hooks, the hot water was off for several hours, and the bathrooms had no soap. The small trash cans filled up quickly. Those are minor issues, though. Unfortunately, someone stole a portable battery during our stay, which clearly wasn’t something the owners could control.

Parks, trails, attractions, shops, and restaurants in Neltume and nearby are all close to the campsite. The camp itself is quiet, with clean, well-kept bathrooms and common areas. The owners clearly care about service. We left very happy and will definitely be back next year.

The Fuy River runs through the backyard, with a view of El Escorial, and a short walk takes you to natural pools formed by the river. You can also easily walk to Neltume Park, which is magnificent. It’s a great place to camp. The owner pays attention to everything, from cleanliness to general upkeep. Bathrooms were spotless with hot water, and the sites have roofs and lighting. The swimming pool is exquisite and well maintained.

We stayed at the campsite. It’s peaceful, with a shelter, table, parking, and electricity with an outlet. There’s a hiking trail next to the site, and the photos show where the lava passed.
